cat dog heart 250pxBehavior problems are one of the most common reasons that pets are re-homed. Here at The Animals’ Hospital of Levittown we want to help owners navigate through these behavior issues by first identifying the problem(s) and how best to move forward.

This may include:

  • Complete Medical Workup
  • Extended Behavior Consults
  • Discussing training and changes in the home
  • Referral to a veterinary board certified behaviorist

Extended behavior specific appointments are meant to address these issues at a deeper level that cannot be fully explored during a regular exam. For this reason, these appointments are longer than a typical appointment and require that we receive your completed Behavior Assessment Form 72 hours in advance.

Many behavior problems respond successfully through behavior modification techniques, changes in the environment, pet handling, and, in some cases, the use of drug therapies.
